What We Do

The Evansville Regional Sports Commission is committed to bringing events to the community that showcase our many great assets. Many times, a bid is required to bring those events in. We specialize in in creating winning bids which includes everything from securing support from elected officials, coordinating with venues, communicating with governing bodies and local organizations and much more.

If you think an event might be a good fit for the community and there is a bid process that must be followed in order to secure that event, please give us a call at 812-421-2059.

When it comes to events, getting them is half of the battle. Executing them is where the communities committed to hosting sporting events stand out. The ERSC specializes in all aspects of running events including, but not limited to, the creation and execution of marketing plans, recruitment and coordination of volunteers, ticket sales & promotions, creating and running special events, coordinating local, regional and national media, and much more.  Our team is dedicated to providing a championship experience that players, coaches and fans won’t soon forget.
The Evansville Regional Sports Commission is lucky to have one of the best volunteer bases in the country.  Their dedication and passion for providing first-class Hoosier hospitality to players, coaches and fans is second to none and is part of what makes the Evansville experience so special.
The Evansville Regional Sports Commission represents the area as a premiere sports events destination at industry trade shows and is in constant communication with event organizers and governing bodies promoting Evansville. It’s essential to build a strong relationship and rapport with event organizers in the hopes of securing high-profile events and The Evansville Regional Sports Commission is focused on this very important aspect of the business.

If you know of an event that might be a good fit for this community and want to explore the option of bringing it in, please contact us at 812-421-2059 or email us at emarvin@evansvillesports.org

Evansville Regional Sports Commission Impact

Events the ERSC has secured, managed and created have had an EEI on Southwest Indiana in the amount of $30,000,000. ERSC events bring in visitors to the community who spend money on hotels, restaurants, retail outlets and attractions to name a few.

Evansville Regional Sports Commission events have been televised in more than 23 million homes in 193 countries total.
The ERSC is dedicated to providing opportunities for local kids to engage and participate in the events we host. Youth clinics coordinated by the ERSC during events like the NCAA Division II Men’s Elite Eight and the PGA Web.com Tour events have allowed more than 1,500 local kids to meet and learn from the best.
The Old National Bank Golf Gives Back Program, which is part of the PGA Web.com Tour event, has generated $900,000+ for local charities in just four years. The Riverside Relay Marathon generated $31,000+ for local charities, in 2015 and 2016. Finding a way for our regional charities to benefit from the events the ERSC secures for the community is something that is extremely important.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The Evansville Regional Sports Commission is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the Evansville area through the events we bring to the community.  Here are some of the ways we’ve done just that:

YOUTH CLINICS

GLVC-Youth-ClinicCreating opportunities for our local kids to interact with the players and coaches participating in Evansville Regional Sports Commission  events is an extremely important component of what we do.  More than 1100 local kids have participated in one of several youth clinics we have organized in conjunction with the events we have hosted and that number continues to grow each year.
